Sally Roberts (nee McKenzie) was born on Sunday, December 1, 1923, in the Brabant Lake area, and passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 92 years. Sally is survived by her loving family, her children, Miriam (Charlie) Cook, Don Roberts, Gordon (Joyce) Roberts, Yvonne Roberts, and Barry (Bonnie) Roberts, her daughters-in-law, Sally Roberts and Bella Ballantyne, her grandchildren, Violet (Sandy), Sophie (Thompson), Yvonne (Willy), George, Sam, Harry (Shauna), Josie, Cindy, Jerry & Jeannie, Tammy (Jim), Fraser, Tom (Janice), Samantha (Curtis), Scott (Darlene), Vanalee (Ed), Amanda (Myles), Tamara, Eric, Even, Darlene, Gordon Jr (Jenna), Bret, Natanis (Carmin), Tanner, Keifer, and Carrie, her sisters, Lydia McAuley, Grace Roberts, and Kathy Roberts, her brothers, John Bear and Philip Bear, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harry Roberts, Margaret (AJ) Carlson, and Douglas (Margaret) McLeod, her godchildren, Tom Roberts and Mary Semmler, her 76 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Jonas Bear and Polly McKenzie, her husband, George Fraser Roberts, her children, Sheila Lynn, Tommy, Douglas, and Samson Roberts, as well as numerous other children in infancy her brothers and sisters, Samson Roberts, Thomas McKenzie, Martha Clarke, Elizabeth Charles, George Custer, Elizabeth McKenzie, Delia McLeod, Annie McKenzie, Stanley Bear, and Maggie Keighley, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delia (Paul) Jacobson, Samson (Susan) Roberts, Zac (Matilda) Roberts, and Charles “Boss” Roberts (1st wife Jean, 2nd wife Annie), her grandchildren, Sheila McLeod, Megan Roberts, and Candice Roberts, her great-grandchildren, Margie McLeod, Donna McLeod, Alexander Searson, Solomon Cook, and Penelope Cook, and her daughter-in-law, Ida Sanderson. A wake service will be held for Sally at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Stanley Mission, SK, Reverend Richard Custer and Revered Elias Ballantyne officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanley Mission Cemetery.
