Ruth Annette Pollock
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Ruth Pollock, on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Mom was the last of the surviving original “Trann” clan. She now rests in peace, joining her husband, Norman, her mom and dad, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and son-in-law Jay Sim. Mom was born in Radville, SK on December 13, 1921 to Annette and Alan Trann. The family then relocated to Prince Albert, SK when mom was about 12 years old. Later in life she married our dad Norman on December 1, 1945. Mom is survived by her loving children: Lynn (Doug) Hjertaas, Allan (Cathy) Pollock, Barb Sim and Patsy Charles (daughter Abigail); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members Earla and Al Basaraba, Wendy and Dave Beskal, Muriel Hemstead, Millie Hjertaas and Elaine Matheis. Mom will be sadly missed by all. “You Are The Sunshine of Our Lives”. Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that in lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty, Funeral Director, River Park Memorial Chapel. 306-764-2727
