Ruth Aalen, nee Olsen passed away peacefully on March 2, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ken, of 54 years; her son Mark (Stacey) and their children Jordan, Danielle, Nathan (Amber), and Zachary; her daughter Maureen (Rod) and their children Jennifer and Jamie; her brother Erling (Mary) Olsen; sisters-in-law Sonja Otte, Edna (Ray) Gowriluk, and Anne Aalen, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was pre-deceased by her parents Oscar and Edna, and parents-in-law Carl and Solvieg. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her table was always filled with a huge spread and everyone was always welcome. Her strength , faith, and positive attitude was admired by all who knew her. She left this world with a smile and is now in the arms of her Saviour.

A celebration of life tea will be held Saturday March 5th at 4pm at the Windsor Chapel. 704 Windsor Street, Saskatoon, SK. In lieu of flowers donations to the Saint Paul’s Dialysis Unit in Ruth’s name would be appreciated. Service intrusted to Mourning Glory Funeral Home.
