Kosik, Ruby Alberta (nee Fairfield)
January 27, 1937 – September 23, 2012

Ruby was born in Meadow Lake, SK on January 27, 1937. She passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75 on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Alberta and William Fairfield, her husband Peter Kosik and sister-in-law Patricia Fairfield. Ruby is survived by her loving partner of 30 years, Tom Ruszkowski. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Mark of Grassland, AB, grandchildren Lyndy, Megan and Anna (Brad Ohleiser), great grandchildren Haley, Korbin and Maisley Ohleiser; Brenda (Alan) Hoisington of Rocky Mountain House, AB, grandchildren Michelle (Shaun) Cameron, great grandchildren Aiden and Makenna Cameron, Brandon (Chantelle) and great grandson Mason; Sharon Theunisse of Millet, AB, son Dustin and daughter Ashley, great granddaughters Emma and Alyssa; Wayne of Prince Albert, SK, and his two children Wayne JR and Diana. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Irene (Raymond) Dansereau of Regina, SK, brother Paul Fairfield of Regina, SK and sister Shirley (Nick) Matechuk of Edmonton, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Ruby worked for Dr. Janzen in Prince Albert, SK. After moving to Leduc, AB, she worked for the Representative for several years before moving back to Prince Albert where she owned Red Knight Trucking Ltd. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 with celebrant Reverend Father Tuan Doan. Both services will be held at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
