October 11, 1963 – February 21, 2017
Roxanne Judith Desmarais passed peacefully in her home on February 21, 2017. Roxanne was born in Estevan on October 11, 1963. She lived with her family in Leoville, SK then later in Henribourg, SK. She graduated from St. Mary High School, Prince Albert, SK. Roxanne worked many years at the Hawood Inn in Waskesiu where she made some great friends. She was a fan of all sports but was definitely a huge supporter of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. She will be greatly missed by her parents Laurence and Julliette Desmarais; siblings Darwin (Kathryn) Desmarais, Kim (Heidi) Desmarais, Shannon (Brent) Miller, Richard Desmarais, Dwayne Desmarais, Teena (Orin) Nelson, Quinton Desmarais, Paul Desmarais, nieces and nephews Andrew, Kaitlyn, Shea Anne, Avery, Shania, Paige and Gabrielle (whom she loved greatly). Three words to sum up her life: Sister, Auntie, Friend. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017. Both services will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Parish in Albertville, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Jim Kaptein. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
