Ross Arnold Neurauter

11 July 1951 – 03 November 2026

After a long battle with cancer and Parkinson’s, Ross Neurauter passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side.

Following in the footsteps of his parents and grandparents, Ross dedicated his life to farming.  He took over the family homestead in his early 20s, becoming the third generation Neurauter to farm those lands.

Ross, like his parents, found his true passion in farming.  He believed in honest, hard work, and took pride everything he created.  And what he created was truly impressive: from a small homestead, he built a 7,000-acre empire.  And not once did he draw attention to his accomplishments; flashiness was not his style!  He would rather drive his old 9030 tractor wearing ripped Levi’s, a tattered t-shirt, and a (free) John Deere hat.

Ross lived his life portraying a quiet strength and inspirational kindness.  He believed in always helping your neighbours.  He would give you the shirt off his back, but he would never let you have a point you hadn’t earned in a card game.  Above all, he believed in family – in being there for each other and supporting each other – which he did every day of his life.

Ross is survived by: his children, Kristy Neurauter (Anthony Toljanich), Heather Neurauter (Wayne Gibb), David Neurauter (Michael Thievin), and Carl Neurauter; two grandchildren, Jak and Max; two step-children, Antonia Zechowski (Mike) and Morgan Friesen; three step-grandchildren, Ireland, Raleigh, and Indiana. He is also survived by: his older brother, Bob (Dodie) and family; his brother-in-law, Rick Bodnarek (Kathy) and family; as well as numerous relatives and longtime friends.

Ross is pre-deceased by his parents, Arnold and Thelma Neurauter, and his sister, Kathy Bodnarek (Rick).

A private ceremony will be held.
