Rose “Rogie” Marie Magdalena Thibeault

1937 – 2020

Rose Marie (Rogie) Thibeault passed away peacefully at the Big River Health Center on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the age of 82 years. She was born and raised in Big River where she spent most of her life. She spent her younger years raising her family. Once her children were grown, she worked at the Big River Union Hospital for 20 years until she retired. 

Rogie is lovingly remembered by, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Donna (Dan) Teer of Big River, SK and family: Krista (Colyn) Swanson and their children Jesse and Peyton; Rachelle Teer; Landon Teer; Norma (Vern) Hyllestad of Big River, SK and family: Kris (Amanda) Hyllestad and their children Tristen, Casey, and Avia; Jodie (Clay) Gear and their children Devyn, Rylin, and Dacey; Jamie (Randy) Friesen and their children Danica and Cade; Brent (Wendy) Thibeault of Grande Prairie, AB and family: Damon Thibeault, Shawn Heppel; Glenn (Tanis) Thibeault of Hazelton, BC and family: Alexa Thibeault, Jack Thibeault; her sisters: Yvonne (Ted) McKenzie of Big River, SK; Shirley (Norman) Tisch of Rushington, England; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Rogie is predeceased by her parents, Bert and Margaret Pruden; her sister, Deanna Dunn; her 4 infant children; 1 infant granddaughter as well as numerous aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, and cousins. 

There will be a Graveside Service for Rogie held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from the Big River Cemetery with Delores Beaulac officiating. In lieu of tributes, memorial donations may be made in memory of Rogie to either the Lakewood Lodge Auxiliary (Box 846 Big River, SK SOJ OEO) or to the Canadian Cancer Society (1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3).
