It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Louis Dernogas, beloved companion of Linda Quintal on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Ron passed away peacefully after complications from cancer surgery. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his companion and best friend Linda Quintal; his son Robert Christopher; his daughter Stacy (Bradley); the mother of his children Chantal; Linda’s children Rene and Cheryse and their children A.J. and Brenner, Michael and Leah, Daniel (Lauren); as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He was predeceased by his parents John and Nellie; his sister Vangeline Pearce, and an infant sister at birth. Ron was born in Prince Albert on March 9, 1942. Though he spent some time working in Northern B.C. and Alberta in his younger years, the farm always called him home. It was there he spent most of his life rooted at the family homestead, surrounded by a close knit community of family and neighbours in Steep Creek. Ron had many interests including Astronomy, world and local news, ancient history, weather watching, action movies, and travel. Ron was a kind and gentle man who was dedicated to taking care of his family. This fatherly love extended to his nieces and nephews, as well as Linda’s children and grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Roque Concepcion.
