It is with deep regret that we say goodbye to Ron, who passed away on April 26th, 2021 at the age of 79 years at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Ron was born in Weirdale, SK, to Clifton and Rene Lindsay on April 8, 1942. He went to school and farmed his whole life in the Weirdale district. Ron’s big three enjoyments in life were farming, horses and being an uncle. Despite years of working in the bush he always thought of himself first and foremost as a farmer. There were always horses on the farm, from Chief to Chance, to his last horse, Runty. Ron was a constant presence in his nephews and nieces’ lives. He pretended to be crusty, but was really a softy. He had all the patience in the world for the nieces and nephews who would be following him around all summer, then carried that on with their kids. Ron is survived by his brother-in-law, Bruce Newman; his nieces, Marilyn, Donna, and Tracy; and his nephews, Murray, Gary, Larry, Joe, and Howard. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifton & Rene (nee Spencer); sisters, Marlene Montgomery, and Helen Newman; brothers, Wayne, Jim, and Dale; and nephew, Lindsay Newman. Due to Covid restrictions a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of tributes, memorial donations can be made in memory of Ron to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
