Roger Duret

Roger Duret passed unexpectedly on the evening August 12, 2018 at the age of 53 at his home with his life partner Joyce Kohle.
Roger is survived by his father, Philippe; his fiancé, Joyce; her children, Rebecca and Mark; grandson, Cullan; his sister, Lucile; brother, Gerald (Melanie); sister, Guylaine (Lyle). He is predeceased by his Mother, Anette; his brother-in-law, Bruce Beskal; his maternal grandparents, Moise and Aldea Beaulac; his paternal grandparents, Willie and Amanda (Beaulac) Duret.
Roger was born June 21, 1965 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He graduated from Debden High School in 1983. He later graduated from SIAST in 1992 and began his career as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic. In July 2012 he met his partner Joyce, they were very excited in January 2015 when they welcomed their grandson Cullan into their lives. Roger and Joyce were to be married this fall.
Roger was a passionate outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid gun collector, and thoroughly enjoyed winter activities such as snowmobiling and ice fishing. He was the very proud uncle of six nieces and nephews. Some of his best days were spent showing his grandson the wonders of living at the lake riding around on the “putt-putt” (quad). He was currently renovating his home at the lake with his Fiancé and spending quiet evenings with her in their happy place.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Candle Lake Community Church in Candle Lake, SK. With Father Millan Sajonas officiating.
