RITCHIE, Rodney Jordan “Jody” -41 of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan formerly of Auburn, NS, passed away March 9, 2012 in Prince Albert. Born in Berwick, NS, he was a son of Patricia (Ward) Ritchie, Auburn and the late Rodney Ritchie. Jody attended West Kings District High School and was a long haul truck driver. He loved his children and spending as much time with them as he could. Jody also enjoyed playing pool and hunting in his younger years. He is survived by his sons, Spencer, Owen and Cameron; sisters, Deanna (Wade) Johnson, Aylesford and Tammy Hardy (Darryl Johnson), New Albany; step grandfather, Percy Grant; niece, Nicole; nephew, Dillon; Aunt Carol Snow, Berwick; Uncles, Arthur (Bev) Ritchie, Auburn; Wayne (Jerry) Ritchie, South Greenwood; Wayne (Judy) Legge and Murray (Dot) Legge, both of Rhodes Corner and several cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Laurie and Miriam Ritchie; maternal grandparents, Elwood Ward and Thelma Grant; uncles, Ronald Ward, Wendell Ward and Lawrence “Larry” Ward and aunt, Geraldine Lutz. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9PM Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 where a memorial service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 24, 2012 with Rev. Brenda Nesbitt officiating. Interment will be in the Aylesford United Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held following the interment in the Aylesford United Church Hall.
