It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roberta “Eileen” Sundbo on October 9th, 2021, at the age of 91 years. She was born on June 30th, 1930, to Caroline “Rae” & Robert Hannah in Prince Albert, SK. This is where she went to school and later married Selmer Sundbo in 1950. Eileen enjoyed bowling in her younger years, then golfing, and curling in her later years. She loved watching Blue Jays baseball and up until recently knew every player and their positions. Over the years she worked at the Met, the Holy Family Hospital, Sundbo’s Shop Rite, the Department of Northern Saskatchewan, and Eaton’s. Eileen and Selmer traveled to many exotic places, spending many summers at Waskesiu with family and friends. She was always a hard worker and loved lending a hand wherever she could from sewing outfits & costumes, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and helping on classroom field trips. Eileen’s last few years were spent at Mont St. Joseph’s until her death. She leaves to mourn her children Sandi Bader, Laurie (Orval) Sundbo-Sather, Mark Sundbo, Sherri (Darren) Schmidt, and Melanie (Jim) Toporowski, her grandchildren Misty, Tyron, Mikhaelen, Corbin, Kaylee, Erica, and Zachary; her three great-grandchildren Grayson, Henrik and Brexlyn; her sisters-in-law Edith Akers and Pat Hannah; her nieces & nephews Robert, Glenn, Terry, Bruce, Linda, & Wendy. She was predeceased by her husband Selmer, her parents Rae & Robert Hannah, her brother Harold (Boo) Hannah; her brothers-in-law Orvel Sundbo and Jack Akers, and her sister-in-law Del Sundbo.
