Robert Jason Vandale, late of St. Louis, Saskatchewan, passed away on October 2, 2018 at the age of 39 years. Robert was born to Edward and Christine Vandale on October 15, 1978 in Edmonton Alberta. Robert attended St Michael’s Elementary, and then St Mary’s High School in Prince Albert. After high school, he trained as a professional truck driver and he began his career driving long haul truck routes throughout Canada and the USA. He had many tales to tell about his adventures. He was especially proud of competing in the Saskatchewan Trucking Association competition and receiving awards from the STA for his exemplary skills. While he truly loved being behind the wheel, he made the decision to get off the road to be able to spend more time with his children. He began a new career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and got behind the engine instead. Shortly after moving to St Louis, he was proud to become a Lieutenant on the Volunteer Fire Department. He had many passions throughout his life such as golfing, fishing, boating and the occasional wheeling and dealing on trades. He especially loved early Sunday mornings with his girls, making them pancakes and then watching cartoons with them. His girls meant the world to him, and he made sure they would want for nothing. Robert is survived by his loving parents: Edward and Christine Vandale; his daughters; his step-daughter and their mother; his siblings: Gwen (Wes) Armstrong, Keith (Sharon) Vandale, Tracy (Jody) Dubinak, and Tammy Vandale; his sister-in-law: Nicole Soloway and her children: Jade and Jessica LaFleur; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by: his brother: Eddy Lafleur: his Grandma and Grandpa Pradzynski and his Grandma and Grandpa Vandale; as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 7:00 pm at St. Michaels Parish, 1505 13th St. W, officiated by Margaret Ferchuk.
