Robert Kerber
1951 ~ 2022

Robert “Bob” George Kerber, late of Emma Lake, SK, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 71, with family by his side. Bob was born on January 13, 1951, in Saskatoon, SK, to George and Claire Kerber. He met the love of his life, Sylvia, and made her his wife on July 28, 1973. They had two children, Shaun and Stacey, of whom reaped the benefits of having Bob as their dad. He was actively involved in everything and built rinks in the winter, and spent countless hours on the boat in the summer.

Bob cherished his grandchildren and took part in all things, hockey and ball games with Lynden, dance recitals with Addy, and he enjoyed watching Emma and Olivia through all their adventures. He was a special part in their lives and they will remember snowmobile riding, sliding, skating, tubing, boating, and hot tubbing with him.

Bob was a man of many talents, he was a true jack of all trades which gained him the nickname Ace. If you needed a problem solved, he was your man.

Bob had many jobs over the years, refrigeration, small business ownership, flooring installation, and his most recent position was the facilities supervisor for the Northern Lights Casino, a job he loved so very much as it utilized all his untapped expertise.

Bob was an avid fisherman and loved his trips up north, particularly to his little piece of paradise at Nemeiben Lake.

Bob was a one of a kind, to have known him was truly a privilege. He has instilled many traditions on us that we will forever continue, including his most coveted fireworks show every July.

He will be sadly missed but forever remembered. Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia; his son, Shaun (Tara) and their children, Lynden and Addison; his daughter, Stacey (Justin) and their children, Emma and Olivia.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering will occur at a later date.
