Robert Allan Earing

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Allan Earing on May 10, 2012 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He was born February 20, 1966 in Prince Albert. In 1971 his family moved to Saskatoon where he lived out most of his life. Robert attended River Heights School and City Park Collegiate graduating in 1984. He later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan. His desire and motivation for further education was left behind when striken with early onset of severe heart disease. For more than twenty years he had many cardiac episodes and procedures and was fortunate to have his loyal partner Nancy by his side. In spite of his health problems, Rob always had a zest for life and an incredible sense of humour. He had a thirst for knowledge which was fueled by his love of reading. Those who knew Rob were always impressed with his wealth of information on many subjects ranging from science and history to cats and dogs. He excelled at many different hobbies such as computers, photography and cooking, always displaying creativity and inspiration in such pursuits. He had a passion for adventure and travel, enjoying trips to Arizona, Vancouver Island and Mexico. One of Rob's favorite pastimes was camping at the lake. He always loved being outdoors whether building a campfire, boating, flying a kite or gazing at the stars. Rob was compassionate and caring, always there to help others in need. Rob was truly a unique person who touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be forever missed. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his partner Nancy Bohachik, his mother Jeanette (George Taylor), sister Nicole (Dale), grandmother Isabel LaHaye, members of Nancy's family, Eleanor and Cathy Bohachik, Susan Conklin (Sheldon, Adam and Ryan), Val Olsen and daughter Shannon Bohachik, and members of the Earing, LaHaye and Taylor families. He was predeceased by his father H. William (Bill) in 1981, grandparents Edna and Harry (Bud) Earing, Claude LaHaye, uncle Gordon Earing, aunt Karen Earing, extended family Harry Bohachik and Greg Bohachik. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
