Ricky Bilash
1958-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rick on the morning of Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK.
Rick was born and raised in Prince Albert, SK and spent the majority of his life living on the farm.
Dad was always the life of the party. He was not one to sit still quietly and always started conversations about anything and everything. He had a sense of humour like no other and many would say how hilarious he was with a gift to make anyone laugh to the point their bellies hurt. Anyone who met Rick would soon leave with a nickname. He had a nickname for everyone. Dad was the most loyal, hard working guy we knew, always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He had a big heart and would have given the shirt off his back if someone needed it. With the exterior of a big old grizzly bear, those that knew him well knew he truly had a sweet, sensitive, and soft interior.
Rick was a great father, husband, son and brother and even better Gedo to his granddaughter Brilynn “little one / boss baby”. Little one had her Gee wrapped around her little finger. Rick was so proud of his kids Shawn “Ninja” and Jamie “sweets / tweety”. He was devoted to his family and his wife Joanne “Bob’s”. Rick and Joanne have been married 42 years but had been together since they were teenagers.
He leaves to mourn his wife Joanne, son Shawn, granddaughter Brilynn, daughter Jamie, mother Frances, sister Lorrie (Barney), and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Orest Bilash and grandparents Katie and Mike Ternowsky and Polly and Joe Krawec.
He will be truly missed and the hole that’s been left will never be replaced. He will forever be remembered by all that knew him. Now you can rest and relax for once and finally, truly “Let it go”.
A Private Family Service will be held.
