RICHARD C. “PORKY” PORTER
With profound sadness I announce the passing of my dearly beloved husband, Richard “Porky” Porter. Born on March 23, 1943, Porky was the adopted son of Albert and Winifred Porter.
Porky grew up with a strong work ethic and was always willing to lend a hand.
He married his wife Anna in July 1967. He began his adult career farming, then went on to include trucking, gravel crushing, logging and grass mowing for highways. He farmed until his health wouldn’t allow it. He then turned his attention to civic and provincial service, which he enjoyed and was able to make a difference.
The last two years of his life were spent at Spruce Manor, Dalmeny, where he received exemplary care.
A Celebration of Porky’s life will be held Thursday, July 16, 1:00 pm at the Shellbrook Community Hall.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate Porky’s life, share memories, laughter and stories to honor the incredible man he was!
