Reo George Tournier passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 8, 2020.
Reo was born on August 27, 1937 to George and Yvonne Tournier. Reo was the eldest of two having a brother Gilbert. Reo grew up in the Domremy region and loved working the farm alongside his Grandfather. There was nothing Reo loved more than being on the farm and working with his hands.
At an early age Reo left home to find work. After trying his hand at a few different occupations Reo found his true calling when he became a salesman for Mann Northway. Reo spent over 40 years with the business and during that time received several awards for his contribution to the company. Reo had an extremely strong work ethic and took pride in the relationships he built with the hundreds of customers he served in his lengthy career with Mann Motors building many lifelong friendships. It was no easy decision to retire, however he did look forward to having more time to spend with his wife and family.
In 1962, Reo married the love of his life Dolores Abel. They made their home in Prince Albert where they raised their three children, Martin, Rachel and Dwayne. Reo was a true family man taking great pride in the accomplishments of his children and later his grandchildren. He loved spending time at their cabin at Candle Lake surrounded by family. He loved the outdoors and was always excited to load the boat with family, snacks and fishing gear to head out onto the lake.
Left to celebrate his life is his loving wife Dolores; his children: Martin (Megan Campbell) Tournier and children Skye Maruschak- Tournier, Kwyn Tournier, and Amerah Campbell; Rachel (Jim) Crowdis, and children Martina Crowdis (Jesse Valley), Shay Crowdis, Melissa Crowdis and Colton Crowdis; and Dwayne (Joanne) Tournier and children Caleigh Tournier and Aidan Tournier; great-grandchildren Lexi and Isabella.
Reo was predeceased by his parents George and Yvonne Tournier.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Cantin and the staff at the Herb Bassett Home the wonderful care that Reo received.
At Reo’s request a private celebration of life was held. Memorial donations in Reo’s memory can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan.
