MRS. RENNETT MARTIN
With loving memories the family of Rennett Martin announces her passing on June 15, 2013 at her home at Pineview Terrace at the age of 97. Grams lived her entire life very modestly and never once did we ever hear her say that she wanted more. She loved to cook, garden, pick berries and preserve. She also liked to go to auction sales, go to the lake and go to A & W for coffee. But she was at her happiest when she was surrounded by family and pets during holiday festivities – her Christmas meals will never be forgotten. On behalf of Grams, the family would like to give heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Pineview for providing her in her last few years with a loving home. As the old saying goes, “the appearance of a home does not make a home – it is what is happening inside that matters the most”. Her home was filled with good times, good food, laughter and caring staff that gave her hugs and kisses when she needed them. To Marj and all the staff who provided this truly loving care right until the end – we will never be able to thank you enough. Rennett is survived by her grandchildren Kelly (John) Pollock (Kayla, William and Lauren); Dean (Donna) Cournoyer (Chelsea, Brandi and great grandchild Kaleb); Craig (Elaine) Cournoyer (Brittany and Orest). She was predeceased by her husband Gabriel; her daughter Marjorie Cournoyer; her infant son Charlie; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pineview Family Auxiliary, 701 13 Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 3H2. Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service at Pineview Terrace Long-term Care at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, 306 764-2727, Wayne Timoffee, Funeral Director.
