It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rene Adolph Sewap, late of Prince Albert, SK on February 11^th, 2026, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 70 years. Rene was born in The Pas, MB to Adolph Sewap and Marie Morin on April 15^th, 1955. Rene will be lovingly remembered by his stepsons Gaylen Zebrasky, Robbie Zebrasky, & Corey Zebrasky; his brothers Charlie McDonald, Allan Sewap, Roger Sewap, & Kevin Sinclair; his sisters Virigina Bear, Stella Buck, & Rose Waditaka; his nephews Jacob (Loretta) Sewap Jr, Justin Sewap, Melvin Head, Peter Waditaka, Dillon Waditaka, Darren (Dellisa) Waditaka, & Garrett Waditaka; his nieces Marie (Johnson) Sewap, Patricia Sewap, Kateri (Jordan) Laurin, Jennifer (Gillis) Bear, Elizabeth Fahlman, Muriel Stewart, Angelica (Greg) Waditaka, Angela Chartrand, & Christel Michel; his special friend Bernice Dussion. Rene was predeceased by his father Adolph Sewap; his mother Marie (Morin) Sewap; his grandparents Thomas and Catherine Sewap, Fred and Elizabeth Morin; his stepson Terry Zebrasky; his uncles Bill Sewap, & Stanley Sewap; his aunties Rosalie Sewap, Veronique Sewap, & Adelaide Sinclair; his brothers Joseph Sewap, Raymond Sewap, Jacob Sewap Sr, Henry Sewap, & George Sewap; his brother-in-law: Ben Waditaka; his sister Linda Budd; his nephew Abraham “Bongo” Budd; & his niece Jessica Sewap. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 13^th, 2026, at 3:00pm at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Prince Albert, SK. The Interment will take place at a later date at Sturgeon Landing, SK. The Officiant will be Father DJ. The Honourary Pallbearers are Lloyd McCallum, Adolph McCallum, Gilford Linklater, Susan Custer, Misty, Morgan & Renee, Linklater Family, Sinclair Family, Morin Family, Michel Family, Sewap Family, Rod & Pierre Budd, all those who knew and loved Rene.
