Rebeca Morgan Durand

February 12, 2000 – January 11, 2017

Our precious Beca passed away suddenly in Prince Albert on January 11, 2017.  Rebeca is survived by her loving family; parents Jennifer and Cory Durand; big sister CJ; grandparents Jeannine and Gary Megaffin, Sheila and Raymond Durand; uncles Scott (Sarah) and their children Brianna, Brooke and Austin; Clint and his son Nolan; Todd (Rhonda) and their children Emily, Chloe and Noel. She will also be missed by her boyfriend Xander Slowenko and her exceptional pets Kodie and Boomer.  Beca was born on February 12, 2000 in Prince Albert.  She attended Turgeon, St. Francis and then St. Mary High School where she enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Beca was a kind soul who cherished her family and friends and loved to spend time creating crafty gifts for her friend’s birthdays.  She loved to bake, paint, spend time exploring the family acreage and reading in the sun.  Being the helper she was, you could usually find Beca hanging drywall in grandpa’s basement or being her dad’s sidekick building or fixing something around the house.  She got a kick out of making others laugh and truly cared how the people around her were feeling.

Visitation will be at Gray’s Funeral Chapel (575 28th St West, Prince Albert) on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  The Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish (260 – 25 Street East, Prince Albert) on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Celebrant Sherry Ouellette.  A come and go tea will follow in the St. Joseph’s basement.  The family asks in memory of Beca that you consider becoming an organ donor.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
