Raymond James Preston, 78, of Saskatoon and Prince Albert, Sk., passed away peacefully with his family on July 1st, 2023, in Saskatoon.
Funeral service will be held at 228 Avenue G S, Saskatoon, on July 6th, 2023 at 2:00pm.
Pastor Dallas Beutler of The Rock Church will be officiating.
A light lunch will be provided following the service.
Ray was born in Regina in Jan., 1945 and adopted by Alan and Helen Preston of Watson, Sk. Ray graduated high school in Watson, then started his career with CIBC. He later started his own financial consultation business and rubber stamp company. He was an extremely active volunteer; first with the Lloydminster Jaycee’s and after moving to Prince Albert he joined the High Noon Optimist Club in P.A. and eventually joined the Hub City Optimist Club of Saskatoon.
Ray is survived by his daughter Darci (Prince Albert), Tyler (Cowichan Bay, BC), granddaughter Randi (Prince Albert), and their mother Lois (Prince Albert).
He is also survived by his sister Geri Burant and husband Lawrence (Yorkton) and their children Alan, Renice and Teri.
He was preceded by his parents, Helen and Alan Preston and his Stepmother, Polly.
The family would also like to acknowledge the countless close friends that Ray shared his life with, especially Kathy Evans, her children, Shannon and Sarah, and also Alvina Wiebe Price.
