Ray passed away peacefully July 26, 2014 in the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK just one month before his 89th birthday. Ray is survived by his wife Myrtle; their children Larry (Paula), Sherry (Blair) Wotherspoon, Byrad (Kelly) and Greg (Bernadette); grandchildren Brady Balicki (Chantelle), Krista Cochrane (Jeff), Jordy Balicki, Brodie, Christopher and Eli Yyelland; Tannara, Megan and Anja Yelland; great grandchildren Nathan and Colton Cochrane; Daemien Yelland and brother Morris (Dalelene) Yelland. He was predeceased by his parents John and Hazel; brothers Allan (Mary), Don (Helen) and Lorne Yelland and his sister Lois (Gerry) Mault. A true gentleman, Ray enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a seeker of knowledge, very well read and encouraged his children to follow their dreams. He was a tireless supporter of his family. He loved dancing, travelling, trail rides, new business ventures, the arts and museums. Special times were spent having coffee with the neighbors or indulging in caramel sundaes. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Rick Martin officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made in Ray’s name to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 390 Bay St Suite 710, PO Box 19341 Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 3M1 or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
