The family of Raymond George Altstadt announce his passing on May 8, 2021 in Prince Albert.

Ray was born in Shellbrook, SK on October 25, 1937 to Samuel and Martha Altstadt. He spent his childhood in Northern Saskatchewan. In the late 1960’s after a brief stint in BC he returned to Prince Albert where he met Linda Daniels whom he married in June of 1968 and had 3 children.

Always a tinkerer he turned this into a career. He worked in various capacities for the City of Prince Albert for 32 years before heart problems took him into Early Retirement in 1992. These life changes lead him to Alberta where he met and married Sharon they lived in Alberta until her passing in 2019. Ray wanted to come home to Saskatchewan for his final years. We brought him first to River’s Edge Villa in St. Louis,SK, then as his health declined to Mont St Joseph’s Home in Prince Albert, SK, where he resided at the time of his passing.

Ray was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Martha Altstadt (nee Klemke), his wife Sharon (nee Hardbattle); his brothers Emmett and Martin; his sisters Irene (Edgar) Duvall, and Eleanor (Bob) Gayowski; his brother- in- law Bill Luebke; his sister- in- law Mary Sipes; his stepdaughter Lila Grant, and step grandson Tyler Broz.

Ray is survived by his daughters Lori (Kevin) Neault; Joshua and Jaxsen, Elaine (Darren)Young; Cody, Cole and Kendall; his son Jerry (Shari Paul); Drew, Carter and Waylon; his brother, Arthur; his sister Frances; his sister-in-law Ruth Altstadt; his stepsons Wally (Ana) Broz and Bruce (Stephanie) Broz and their families; his step granddaughter Jessica Broz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held.
