In this position, you are required to travel and work flexible hours, which sometimes may involve evenings. A valid driver’s license is required. If you are relocating for this position, there is an opportunity for relocation reimbursement with a 2-year Promissory Note/Return Service Commitment.
This dynamic role requires you to have a working knowledge of addictions, domestic violence, poverty, disabilities, mental health, family relationships, abuse and neglect dynamics. Also, excellent written and verbal skills along with the ability to engage resistant individuals and the ability to accurately assess and develop plans based on client needs are required.
We are seeking a talented individual who possesses an applied professional degree, either a Bachelor of Social Work; Indigenous Social Work, Human Justice, Education or Arts: Justice Studies, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology Police Studies or Indigenous Studies; or meets the grandfathering provisions in accordance with Community Corrections qualifications. A degree from an accredited university or college that does not focus on human behaviour along with acceptable correctional and/or human behavioural work experience may be considered. If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you must have it assessed against Canadian education standards.
