Pierre Joseph Thebaud
(November 26, 1915 ~ September 13, 2011)

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Pierre Thebaud of Melfort, SK, and formerly of St. Brieux, SK, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Parkland Place at the age of 95 years.

Pierre was born to Francois and Philomene (nee Legall) Thebaud on November 26, 1915. He was raised on the family farm and took all his schooling from grades 1-8 at Lacombe School. He farmed with his parents till they retired, where he then took over the family farm. In February 1995 he married Agathe Martine and together they worked on the farm and raised 5 children.

Pierre had a great sense of humour and was known for his one liners. He truly loved the farm especially the harvest time which was his favourite time of the year. Once his health prevented him from farming, he would go for numerous drives in the spring, summer and fall, watching the crops grow and being harvested.

In 2005 Pierre and Agathe moved to Melfort because of his declining health but his heart always remained on the family farm. Many day trips were made to the farm where he longed to remain. Pierre was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always had a soft heart for all of his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Agathe and his children Edouard of Frontier, SK, Therese (Gord) Nelson (Darren, Devon, Trent) Brandon, MB, Jean of Saskatoon, SK, Claire Richards (Melissa, Natasha) Red Deer, AB, and Marie (Kim) Stratulat (Curtis, Corey, Kirk) St. Brieux, SK, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Francois and Philomene Thebaud as well as his brother Frank Thebaud, sister Henriette Prokopetz and his nephew Albert Thebaud.

A celebration of Pierre's life was held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the St. Brieux Roman Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kinsmen Tele-Miracle Foundation.
