Phyllis Green

Phyllis Green passed away on April 26, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side. Phyllis was born June 11, 1947 in Vancouver, BC to Philip and Muriel Lacey. Phyllis married Lorne Green on August 13, 1966. She was a proud mother of five children and at the age of 38 went back to University and obtained her degree in Bachelor of Social Work. She had a career with the Ministry of Social Services in child protection. Phyllis always looked forward to big family gatherings on Marble Hill, tending to her garden and reading a good book. She always put family first, interested in growing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and learning about their next adventures. She will be remembered as a person who learnt from her mistakes. Phyllis believed that her Christian Faith was the solid ground she walked on. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lorne Green; her children Robert Green, James (Kristy), Doreena Jackson, David (Amy) and Shelly; her grandchildren Walker, Tyler, Kenna, Daniel (Jade) & daughter Primrose, Dhillon, Tolila Cohen, Evelyn, Felicia, Taylor, Brenden, Austin and Natasha. Memorial Services for Phyllis will be held at the Prince Albert Alliance Church, 2777-6th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 with Pastor Ron Goerzen officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0G9. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
