Narcisse Philip Ledoux was born on June 13, 1942 to Frances and Ara Ledoux, on the Mistawasis First Nation.
Through out his life Philip lived in the town of Big River in 1948 where he attended school. His family moved back to Mistawasis, then to Duck Lake School for a while and then back to Mistawasis Day School until the end of June, 1949. He went to Duck Lake School again from 1955 to June, 1957. In September, 1957 moved to Lebret, Sask until 1962.
Philip was in Cadets at Duck Lake from 1955 to 1957, attaining a rank of Staff Sgt. He was in Lebret Cadets from 1957 to 1960. He was a cadet major until August 1960, when he became Regt Sgt Major in August 1960 for Vernon BC Cadet Camp in charge of 3,000 Cadets upon graduation.
Back in Lebret Philip was promoted to Sgt in Militia with the rank of Sgt. He stayed in that position until June 1962. He then joined the Queens Own Rifles of Canada in April of 1963. When he was stationed in Calgary, Philip stayed there until November 1964. He was then deployed to Victoria BC. He was stationed there until April 1965 and then shipped to Cyprus until October 1965. In June, 1965 he was deployed to Beirut, Lebanon for Guard duty with the UN Forces. Upon completion he returned to Canada in November of 1965. In March 1966 Phillip was discharged from the Army with the rank of Corporal.

Phillip is lovingly survived by: his children, Cliff, (Valerie) Ledoux and their children, Andrew, Ethan and Alexander; Tanya (Jason) Rung; Tony Beeds and his children, Arron, Tiara, Zach; his special sister-in-law, Rose F. Beeds; his special niece and her family, Natasha Beeds; his nephew, Dakota (Raquel) Beeds; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Aurora, Harper, Aiyesha, Alavah, Aliesha, Avayah, Denevieve and Enzo; his special nephews, Gene (Jennifer) Ouelette and their children, Seth Marquis, Ashtin and Phaedra; Edwin (Yvonne) Ledoux and their children, Sheila, Kevin (Kristin) and Shaina; his sister-in-law, Mary Ledoux; his brothers-in-law, Sid (Bernice) Beeds, Elvin (Sidney Jean) Beeds and Ivan (Joanne) Beeds; his adopted daughter, Marilyn Buffalo as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.
Phillip is predeceased by: his loving wife, Shirley Loretta Beeds; his parents Frances & Ada (Wolfe) Ledoux; his paternal grandparents Jean & Christine (Roy) Ledoux and Eliza (Villebrun); his maternal grandparents Ambrose & Jane Wolfe; his brothers, Arthur (Ruby) Badger, Ralph and Henry; his sister, Beatrice (Herman) Ouellette; his adopted brothers, Solomon Stone, Jean-Marie Felix, William Dreaver; his uncle (mushoom), Arsene Gerard; his parents-in-law John and Ethel Beeds; his brothers-in-law, LelandBeeds, Jack Beeds, Jimmy Gouldhawke and Andrew Beeds; his sisters in law Lorreen Andrews, Phyllis Gilbert, Irene Meyers, Rose L. Beeds; his special nieces and nephews Glenn Ledoux, Carol Ledoux, and Debbie Andrews.
The wake service for Phillip began at 4:00PM on Friday, October, 25, 2019 at the Chief Mistawasis School Gym. The funeral service will commence at 11:00AM on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the same location. Interment will follow in the Mistawasis Catholic Cemetery.
