Philip James “Garry” Turner
Philip James Turner, lovingly known as Garry, was born on November 7, 1953, in Sturgeon Lake, SK. He passed away peacefully in his home community on January 20, 2026, at the age of 72.
Garry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his daughter Angela Turner and her mom Jenn, who held a special place in his heart. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Marie (Walter) Lafaver, Cecile Isaac, and Madeline Turner; his brother Mike Daniels; and his loyal casino buddies Benji Keller, Dennis Ballantyne, and Darwin Bighead. His memory will continue to live on through his many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom he cherished.
He is reunited in the spirit world with his beloved wife Valerie Naytowhow Turner; his parents Baptiste and Harriet Turner; his brothers Noel (Genevieve) Turner and Emil Turner; his brother‑in‑law Harold Isaac; his sisters Lorette Turner, Lola Turner, Thelma Turner, Mary Turner, and Theresa Turner; and his sister‑in‑law Rose Daniels.
Garry’s presence, humour, and steady companionship will be missed by all who knew him. His love for family, his friendships, and the simple joys of life will be remembered with gratitude.
