Philip Lawrence Clarke “Joker” was born on Monday, January 8, 1945 in the Deep Bay area and passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in La Ronge, SK at the age of 72 years. Philip is survived by his loving family: his wife of 50 years, celebrated on February 15, 2017, Hilma (nee Michel) Clarke; his children, Rena (Jerry) Cook, Ernest (Gladys) Clarke, Alvina (Moses) Bird, Ervin (Virginia) Clarke, Winston (Pearl) Clarke, Roman (Shannon) Clarke, Christina (Patrick) Clarke and Lawrence “Bam”; his son-in-law, Victor Jobb; his grandchildren, Jamie, DJ, Darris, Eva, Diane, Wendall, Blaine, Melvin, Marilyn, Moe, Melissa, Miguel, Ervana, Lavana, Hunter, Dana, Victor Jr., Dalynn, Derek, Tommy, Blaise, Roy, Tani, Aisha, Sunshine, Cherish, Clarissa, Zenon, Melanie, Chasity, Charity, Jarette, Darlene, Diondre, Lawel, Russel and Amarrah; numerous great-grandchildren; his siblings, Joseph (Eva) Clarke, Theresa (Gilbert) Morin, Rod (Shirley) Clarke, Norman (Marguerite) Clarke, Ida (George) Sewap, Shirley (Otto) Olson, Gregory (Kathy) Clarke and Dickie (Pauline) Clarke; his mother-in-law, Theresa Michel; his brothers-in-law, Morris (Clara) Michel, Herman and Alfred; and his sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Leo) Michel, Genevieve and Martha. He was predeceased by his children, Malina, Tommy Cat and Baby John; his parents, Thomas & Charlotte (nee Merasty) Clarke; his brothers and sister, Tommy, George, Norvil, Hector, Raymond and Maryann; his father-in-law, John Michel; his brothers-in-law, Walter Michel and George; his sister-in-law, Sarah (Lawrence) Linklater; his grandchildren, Ervana, Danika, Janine, Darlene, Baby Jobb and Baby Clarke-Cook; his great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews, Perry, Aaron, Joanne, Bella, Crystal and Olivia. A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at River Park Memorial Chapel in Prince Albert, SK, Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Philip’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Reindeer Lake School Gym, Reverend Elias Ballantyne officiating. Interment to follow at Southend Cemetery.
