It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Sloboda on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the age of 78 years. He was born on Tuesday, September 8, 1942 to John and Ann Sloboda, at the farm in Henribourg.

Peter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Stella; his daughter, Jean; his son, James and family; his sister, Marie and family; his mother-in-law, Jessie. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers-in-law, Steve and Roy; and his father-in-law, Mike.

Peter and Stella farmed in the Henribourg area until 2011, when they retired and moved into Prince Albert. Though life was slower and easier in town, he missed the farm life, as in his heart he was still a farmer.

A private family service will be held for Peter, with interment to follow at the South Hill Cemetery. For those wishing to do so, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 305-6^th Street East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 0N1.
