Peter “Pete” Fiddler
(June 19, 1939 – October 20, 2011)
It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our brother, uncle and great-uncle. Peter lost his courageous battle to cancer on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the age of 72 years. He was born on June 19, 1939 in Prince Albert. He worked at Brown Motors and had various jobs while studying and completing the Devry’s home electronics course. After completing the electronics course he started working the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division as an Audio Visual Technician for many years until his retirement in 2001. Peter had two favorite seasons – Christmas and Halloween. He put his electronic expertise to work creating Christmas and Halloween displays, which filled up his two car garage. He also took great pride in his 1968 Dodge Dart convertible which he gave to his niece Carrie on her 16th birthday. Peter was a very caring person who you could count on for a helping hand or favor. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters Jim, Lawrence, Joyce, Ernie and Judy (Roger) Johnston of Saskatoon, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father William Fiddler in 1968 and his mother Helen Fiddler in 2010. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend Rick Martin will officiate. Interment will take place in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that in lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
