PETER KOZENKO Our beloved Peter passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, January 24, 2011. He was born on April 21, 1955 in Strong Pine, SK to Annie Chomyk and Steve Kozenko. He received his education at David Central and Meath Park schools. He began his working career in the smelter mines in Flin Flon, MB, then went on to become a very successful journeyman transmission specialist which he took great pride in. At age 50 he became ill and was forced into early retirement, which gave him more time to do the things he loved for he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Peter touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity and always maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. His twin daughters brought him great joy and he taught them many things about life, impressing upon them the importance of education which they went on to accomplish and he was so very proud. Peter will be forever remembered by his loving twin daughters Kamilya and Chelsey; their mother Katherine Kirychuk; his two grandchildren Kiara and Mikael; his mother Annie Kozenko; his sisters Rose(Leon) Chenier and Irene Kozenko; his brother Archie as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Steve in 1994; a sister Mary in infancy and numerous relatives. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family's request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the charity of the donor's choice. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Colette Kadziolka, Funeral Director.
