Perry is survived by his wife Sara, his daughters Amanda (Chris), Samantha (Derick), grandchildren Rylee, Owen and Sean, his mother Clara (Floyd), his brother Kevin, his sister Cynthia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Perry was born a fighter. He was 2 months premature and weighed only 1 lb-14 oz. at birth. He wasn’t expected to survive but defied the odds. Perry spent his childhood and youth in Prince Albert, where as a teenager he had a passion for classic cars and vans. Once Perry was done with school he found his calling in the hospitality industry and pursued a career as a chef, under the tutelage of his mentor at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club, Chef Joe Craig.
Perry met the love his life Sara in Prince Albert and they began their family there. The adventurous spirit caught Perry and Sara and in 1994 they packed up the family and moved to the West coast to live in North Vancouver. In BC Perry found a love for photography and travel. Perry had numerous trips to Alaska, mostly with his travel companion, his daughter Samantha.
Perry also had a passion for music and loved to jam on guitar and drums in his music room to his favorite band RUSH. Perry was a self-taught craftsman and would create toys for his grandchildren and unique one of kind keepsakes. He often would look at something and say “I can build that”. Perry was a genuine giver. He would not hesitate to drop what he was doing to help a neighbour or a friend.
Perry passed suddenly and will be missed dearly by those who knew him. There will be a small family ceremony on Vancouver Island where Perry dreamed of spending his final years.
