Pauline Wojciechowski
July 17, 1928 ~ October 19, 2026
At 98 years old, she was a loving mother, sister, and auntie. Pauline was the first child of Andrew and Mary (née Stoyko) Chambul. They farmed in the Foxford area, and that’s where she met “Joe,” when he came to help with harvest. Mom and dad were married November 5, 1944, and moved to their own quarter 2 miles west. Mom was 16!
They moved to Weirdale in 1955 and after Joe’s passing in 2000, mom continued to live there until December 2010 when she moved to Prince Albert.
Mom worked hard – she drove grain truck, milked cows, was a fur trader, gardened, a seamstress, and as most farm wives she was a good cook, while she was raising their 2 daughters, Sylvia and Christine.
In her retirement, mom spent her winter sewing quilts, baking (poppy seed chiffon cakes that were enjoyed in Campbell River, B.C.), and reading history books. We just needed to ask and mom would make it – example, Kutia in July.
She never had a negative word to say of anyone, and her tenderness is going to be missed.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Christine Stacey; her son-in-law, Greg Sanford (Debra Henery); her sister, Olga Korol; her special niece, Sharon Korol; her nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Wojciechowski; her daughter, Syl Sanford; her parents, Andrew and Mary Chambul; her sister, Helen Pikaluk; her nephew, Wayne Korol; as well as Joe’s parents and siblings.
The Funeral Service for Pauline will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas officiating. Online condolences may be left at https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/riverpark/obituaries/pauline-wojciechowski/168540.html .
