IN LOVING MEMORY – PAULINE NEMISH (SZWYDKY)
September 20, 1936 – December 14, 2018
Pauline was born in Blaine Lake on September 20, 1936. She grew up on a farm in the Blaine Lake area, and met John Nemish, the love of her life. They married in July of 1957, and enjoyed 24 years of happiness together before he passed away. They lived on a farm in Red Deer Hill, and later moved to MacDowall to raise five children. John passed away in 1982, and Pauline then raised the children by working as a caretaker at the community elementary school. While working, the children at the community school lovingly referred to her as “mom” while her youngest attended the school. Once retired in 2000, she spent countless hours volunteering with the Lioness Club in MacDowall, giving back to her community. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, cross-stitching, and cooking for everyone who came to visit. Everyone loved her perogies and cabbage-rolls. In later years, Pauline moved to the Herb Bassett Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where she enjoyed the group activities and readily made friends with everyone she met. Pauline will be lovingly remembered by: her children: Terry (Joanne) Nemish, Sue (Daryl) Foreman, Joanie Brown, Michael (Jeannie) Nemish, Gary (Cheryl) Nemish; her grandchildren: Karen Brown, Jennifer (Kyle) Halliday, Katelynn Smith, Victoria (Matthew) McLean, Hali Bartole, Jonathan (Martina) Foreman, Benjamin (Kaylan) Foreman, Steven Nemish, Chantal Perrett, Keagan (Haley) Nemish, Karissa Nemish; her great-grandchildren: Link, Jordan, Zachery, Joshua, Madison, Taylor, Blayke, Oliver, and Belle; her sisters: Sophia (Paul) Burletoff, Elsie Magiera, Joanie (Don) Szaroz, Sylvia (Joe) Szeszorak; her sister-in-law: Ann Bohun; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Irene Tait.
