Paul Rasmussen
1933-2019
Paul was born and raised in Clouston, SK on November 23, 1933. He was the loving son of Carl and Betty Rasmussen. He attended school in Clouston, SK until Grade 8 then quit and help his dad on the farm. As a young man he also worked for farmers in the surrounding area. In the early 50’s Paul decided to start his plumbing career. Shortly after that he met the love of his life Lorna Hodgson. Paul and Lorna were married September 1955. They soon decided to work on a family, and they were blessed with 5 children, Ken, Linda, Wayne, Dianne and Garry. Paul worked at various plumbing shops including Tony Mihilewicz Plumbing and Heating. After many years in Prince Albert Paul bought the farm in Henribourg area in 1972 where he farmed and started to also work at the Pulp Mill in July of 1973. After a few years, Paul retired from the Mill in August of 1995. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with the grandchildren. He also spent many years with the Vintage Power Machines. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lorna; his son: Ken (Cindy) Rasmussen and their family Bradley (Noreen), Clayton, and Sarah (Blaine); his daughter: Linda Rasmussen and her daughter Samantha; his son: Wayne (Audrey) Rasmussen and their family Christopher, and Michael; his daughter: Dianne (Darryl) Altenberg and their family Curtis (Cecily), Jason ( Courtney), and Shawn; his son: Garry (Kari) Rasmussen and their family Christopher, Anna, Brent, Marc, Sean and Emily; his brothers: Gunner (Bill), Willy (Hilda), and Egon (Vivian); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Carl & Betty Rasmussen, his parents- in- law Carl & Florence Hodgson. He will be missed by all who knew him. Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Calvary United Church, 114- 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.
