Paul Gerard Pelletier
(March 8, 1928 – July 7, 2011)
Paul Gerard Pelletier, age 83, of Prince Albert, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Victoria Hospital.
He was born on March 8, 1928 in St. Rose du Lac, MB, the fourth of seven children born to Silas and Loretta Pelletier. He was predeceased by his parents; his partner Zelda Kerr; his brothers Ernest and Felix; his sister Alma and his sister-in-law Jeanne. Paul is survived by his sisters Annette (Constant Brûlé), Lorraine (Fred Unger); his brother Ben (Jean) Pelletier; his sister-in-law Aline Pelletier; his special niece and nephew Karla (Gilbert) Suignard and Brad Pelletier; his special great-nephew “the little helper” Connor Suignard and many other nieces and nephews.
Paul moved to Saskatchewan as a young child with his parents and siblings and settled in the Bellevue area. Later they moved to Prince Albert where he resided for most of his life. As a young man he worked in logging camps and later became a journeyman carpenter, welder and a mechanic. He was an accomplished carpenter and worked for various construction companies in Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and sports fan.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Pastor Dennis Serfas will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place at South Hill Cemetery.
