Patrick Leslie Owens
April 6, 1935 – October 30, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Les Owens (Buff) announce his peaceful passing. Dad was a superior tradesman and proud member of UAL 179 for 55 years. He was an avid sportsman who loved to fish, and hunt and he spent all of his summers at the cabin at Candle Lake with his beloved family. Dad especially loved to dance and socialize with his family and friends and was always heard laughing and joking and telling his many great stories. He was always there with a helping hand and was known to have a tool for anyone to borrow when needed.
Les leaves to mourn his loving wife of 64 years: Patricia (Jones); and their children: Janie (Larry) Livingstone; Charly (Andrew) Livingstone and Brittnee (Ryan) Cruse; Les was predeceased by Amanda Livingstone; Don (Mary Ann) Owens, Jesse (Robyn) Owens, and Rickie Lea (Lee) Owens. Ron (Colette) Owens; Jasmine (Conrad) Smith, Keenan (Ashley) Owens and Kaden (Alana) Owens; Nancey (Garth) McHarg; Dax McHarg and Maddi (Tyler) McHarg; Les (Anna) Owens; Todd (Meaghan) Owens, Ben Owens and Katie Owens; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his three brothers: Jim, Stan, and Rusty; and very special friends: Larry and Betty Michayluk. Our family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Cantin and the wonderful ICU nurses at the Victoria Hospital.
Due to Covid, there will be a Celebration of Dad’s Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Saskatchewan Branch: 1-2217 Hanselman Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 9Z9) or the Canadian Diabetes Association (PO Box 26331 STN BRM B, Toronto, ON, M7Y 4R1).
