Patrick Bighetty was born on April 15, 1933, in Brochet, MB, and passed away on May 14, 2025, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 92 years.

Patrick is survived by his loving family, his daughters, Peggy, Dora (Kosty), Charlene, Brenda, Myrna, Janice, Charnelle, Jody; his sons, Michael (Valerie), Allan, Carl, Pierre (Karen), Justin; his sisters, Margaret, Lucy, Thelma, Caroline; his brothers, Horace Bighetty, Arthur Bear; his cousins, Rodrick Thomas, Conrad Bighetty; his sister-in-law, Florence (Allan); his brother-in-law, Joseph “Joe” (Marie); his best friends, Emile Bear, Frank Richards, Ben Merasty, John Merasty; his friend, Sister Sylvia; 41 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 13 chapans; his godchildren, Joel Bear, Lisa Bear, Michaeal Natewayes, Dantone Bear, Myles Cook; numerous nieces, nephews and family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Caroline Sewap and Richard McCallum; his in-laws, Pierre and Louisa Bear; his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Therese Bighetty (née Bear); his children, Mervin, Corrinne, Elaine; his grandchildren, Melissa Bighetty and Baby John Durocher; his chapans, Corrine Kasandra Elaine, Mike Bighetty JR & Paul Bighetty, Catherine (Butterfly Woman) & Liam Lavelle, Drake Bighetty, Drake Joseph; his brothers, Michael Sewap, Baptist Bighetty; his in-laws, Julian Bear (Sarah), Racheal Bear (Marie), Catherine & Johnny Ballantyne; his nephews, Clarence Bear, Dereck Bear, Eli McDonald Jr., Frankie Bear, Jeffery McDonald, Mervin Bear; his nieces, Donna Dorion, Pricillia Bear, Elaine Bear; his godchildren, Derek Bear and Thotin Ballantyne; his sisters-in-law, Helen, Adele (Louison), Ann Bear; his brothers-in-law, Marcel, Cornelius (Angelique), Brian Palaqeets “Baby Boy.”

The Prayer Service for Patrick will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, May 16, 2025, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Kateri Hall, in Sandy Bay, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, in Sandy Bay, SK, with Fr. Josi Chinthamalla, MSFS, officiating.
