January 29, 1929 – July 2, 2016

Oscar Alfred Eliason was born on January 29, 1929 in Valbrand, SK.  He passed away on July 2, 2016 in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 87 years. Oscar is survived by:  Dorothy, his loving wife of 64 years on June 26, 2016; his five children: LeRoy Eliason, Karen Martin, Iona (Mike) Copeman, Jocelyn (John) Beaven and Dwight Eliason; his grandchildren:  Arlanda (Dustin) Brown, Arland (Lisa) Eliason & children Evan & Anna;  Landon (Melanie) Eliason & children  Atlin & Harley; Laurissa Eliason, Brandy Martin & children Star & Caleb; Makara Martin, Kayla (Nicholas) Marquis, Cole Martin & children Daxton & Elah;  Mandy (Joe) Yasinski & children Madeline, Sophie, Claire & Michael; Justina (Steve) Gibson & children Grace, Amelia & Baby to be; Nicholas (Angie) Copeman & children Courtney & Anna; Leighton (Petra) Beaven & children Ryden & Rayah; Tanner (Josceline) Beaven & children Kyptin & Blake; his brother:  Arnold Eliason; his in-laws: Lawrence & Elsa Jonasson, Ronald Jonasson and Keith & Linda Larsen; his brother-in-law: Preben Berg;  as well as numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.  Oscar was predeceased by:  his parents: David & Amanda Eliason; his in-laws: Svea & Eric Larse and Peter Jonasson; his brother:  Melvin Eliason;  his sisters & brothers -in- law:  Elvie & John Nording, Emma Eliason, Emily & Vigo Erickson, Ingrid & Newell Ewing, Isabel & George Muller,  Gladys Berg and Mabel Eliason;  and his son-in-law: Randal Martin.  A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at MacKenzie Chapel, 130 9th St. E, Prince Albert, SK.  In lieu of other tributes, donation in memory of Oscar may be made to: STARS, 1441 Aviation Park N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 8M7.  Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium.  Brian and Bev Stobbs, Tracy-Lynn Switzer,  Funeral Directors.  306.763.8488. www.MacKenzieChapel.ca
