Olive Magee

Olive Magee, passed away at Victoria Hospital on March 11, 2020. Olive was born in Prince Albert on June 29, 1936. She worked at the Sanitorium in Prince Albert. After meeting Jack Magee she moved to Prince George, BC later coming back to Prince Albert and farming together in the Lily Plain area. Olive also worked in housekeeping at the Herb Bassett Home. She loved reading, writing, crocheting, cooking and baking. As well, Olive, along with her daughter Joanne, co-authored a children’s book. She made friends everywhere she went. In the last few years Olive experienced a decline in her health. She will be deeply missed. Olive is survived by her daughter: Joanne (Dennis) Panas; and her son Keith; her step-daughter: Jacqie (Greg) Walker of Quadra Island, BC; her brothers: Charlie of Stony Plain, AB, Lloyd (Mavis) of Prince Albert, SK, Herb and Paul; and her sister: Mary (Nelson) Erickson of Prince George, BC. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Gertrude Whitford. A Family Interment will be held at a later date.
