Olive Louise Beal was born October 7, 1924 at Cupar, SK. to Roy and Pansy Beal. The family moved to Smeaton, SK. when Olive was 7 years of age. Olive worked as a Lab Technician in Prince Albert, Melfort and Nipawin Hospitals. On May 7, 1966 Olive married Robert Bye. To this union was born one son, Dale, six years later. Robert and Olive welcomed an adopted daughter, Pearl, into their family. The family resided on the farm at Tisdale. Olive is survived by her son Dale, and her daughter Pearl; sisters Erma (Lou) Prince of Shipman, SK. and Una Wildey of Calgary, AB., as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (June, 2011); parents Roy & Pansy; sister Hazel Bennett; brothers Harvey Beal & Clifford Beal. Funeral service was held Monday, January 9, 2012 from the Melfort Royal Canadian Legion Hall at 2:00 p.m. The speakers were Michael Hassett, Bonnie Poss & Lynn Higgins. The pallbearers were Gerald Bye, David Szakacs, Garvin Higgins, Frank Ofukany, Nolan McCrae & Wayne Paszay. Music ministry was provided by Lois Dunnington. Interment followed at Silver Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in memory of Olive, may be directed to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to MELFORT FUNERAL HOME LTD. of Melfort, SK.
