Olga Rogozinski
1932 ~ 2022

Olga Rogozinski, was born on December 6, 1932, in Wakaw, SK and passed away on May 2, 2022, in Canwood, SK, at the age of 89 years.

Mom passed away peacefully at the Whispering Pine Place in Canwood, SK. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Albert; her son, Allen; her daughter, Rosanne; her parents, Nick and Mary Sarchuk; her brother, Paul. She is survived by her son, Dale (Linda); her grandchildren, Michelle (Aaron), Carmen (Mark), Shaun (Andrew), Em (Chris); her great grandchildren, Kelsey (Dan), Aimee, Dayton, Adian and Ryley; her sisters, Paula (Allan) and Eva (Lawrence).

Mom was born in Wakaw and raised on the family farm in Tway, SK. On September 13, 1953, she married the love of her life, Albert. They took over the home quarter of land in 1960 from Albert’s Dad (Joseph) and they lived happily together until his passing on April 20, 1995.

On that farm they raised their family. Mom was not scared of hard work, as well as raising the family she did her part in operating the farm. She shoveled grain, lifted bales, lovingly tended to a huge garden every year, raised and looked after cows, pigs and chickens. All this had to be done while Dad worked for the Rural Municipality. After Dad passed away, Mom moved to Prince Albert, SK for several years. Over the years Mom made countless numbers of perogies for family and friends. She spent her spare time scratching Lotto tickets, hoping for the big win. She will also be remembered for her love of chocolate.

Sadly, Alzheimer’s eventually stole part of her away from us. Forcing the family to move her to Whispering Pine Place in Camwood, SK, where she would reside until her passing. She was in good hands there being looked after by her new family.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to all the staff at Whisper Pines, you truly were her other family. As per her wishes a private graveside gathering for immediate family will be held. In lieu of tributes memorial donations may be made to Whispering Pine Place at 300 1 Ave in Canwood, SK, S0J 0K0.
