Olga Alice Dolan

It is with deep sadness we announced the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Olga Alice Dolan. God called her home on the 22nd day of August 2026. She was 79 years old.
Olga was born in Saskatoon to her parents, Samuel and Bertha. She grew up on the family farm at the top of Redberry Lake Hill. The town of Hafford became her home during her high school years. It was also where she met her husband of 56 years, Brian, while attending a local dance. Saskatoon was their home during the early years. They then chose to settle in Prince Albert, welcoming two children, and thus created their family home.
Mom was passionate about her faith. She spent much time at Adoration at the Cathedral. The peace she experienced in quiet prayer strengthened her. She devoted her time to attending mass almost daily, bringing along a friend who needed a ride. Mom & dad had also visited a few religious sites around the world, a source of rejuvenation for them both. Her faith walk was very important to her, and like many moms, praying for her family was a priority and a privilege.
Her deep devotion to the church was matched only by her commitment to a vibrant, healthy life. She enjoyed her time outdoors, from tending to her garden, to taking brisk walks along the riverbank. She was also an avid cross-country skier in her prime.
However, in the kitchen is where mom took healthy eating to another level. Ingredients of the highest quality were chosen based on their nutritional value. It made for deliciously interesting combinations and occasionally some that required taste testing – to get the recipe just right. Mom believed you can make a healthier version of everything, even chocolate Guinness cake.
Please raise your green drinks in honour of our mother.
You are loved; you are missed. May your journey be blessed.
Olga is survived by her son, Corey, his wife, Janette, and their two children, Julian and Lilliana Rae; her daughter, Lesley; brother, John; sisters, Sally, Marie, and Patricia (Sean); and numerous extended family and friends.
She is preceded by her husband, Brian; parents Baba Bertha & Gido Sam; brother Morris (Evangeline); brothers-in-law, John and Edward; sister-in-law, Evelyn; and numerous extended family and friends.
