Norman John Stroh, 77, passed away suddenly on April 8, 2021 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born November 9, 1943 to Frances and Manny Stroh. In 1971 Norm married his great love Helen Mary Motruk of Macdowall, SK, and together they farmed between Paddockwood and Christopher Lake for nearly 50 years. Norm will be fondly remembered by loved ones as a hard worker, that was active in the church and curling communities; and as someone who was always ready with a funny remark. His passion for farming will live on through his son whom he worked side-by-side with for many years. His daughter inherited not only his trademark red hair but also his love of animals big and small. His greatest pride and joy came later in life with the arrival of his 5 beloved grandchildren.
Norm is lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen; his son, Derek (Aaren); his daughter, Donna (Jason) Kanarek; his grandchildren, Austin, Jasper, Max, Haley and Molly; his siblings, Jennie (Bill) Barlow, Leona Wick, Peter (Linda) Stroh, Fran (Ken) Pearson and Ed (Lynda) Stroh; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Manny and Frances Stroh; his brother, Jack Stroh; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Wick.
In lieu of other tributes, donations in Norman’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation – 1738 Quebec Avenue #26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9, or the Canadian Cancer Society – 630 45th Street West #2, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9.
A Private Funeral Mass will be held. A Celebration of his Life is planned for later in the year.
