NORMAN GIBSON
April 21, 1939 – June 22, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Kendal, Cumbria, UK on April 21, 1939 to Matthew and Rachel Henrietta “Ettie” Gibson. Norman leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years Jennifer “Jen”; their children Matthew (Sherry) and grandchildren Kendal and Rachel, Robert (Heather) and grandchildren Kaylee and Nicholas as well as six siblings in the U.K. He was predeceased by his parents and an infant daughter Ruth. He loved camping, travelling, quadding, playing with his grandchildren and morning coffee with the guys. He also loved to help friends and family with farming, painting and carpentry. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 from St. David Anglican Church – 500 – 24 Street East. Reverend Norbert Haukenfrers will officiate. Private family interment will take place in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Cansurmount.
