It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nicholas Guy Kingfisher, late of Edmonton, AB formerly of Sturgeon Lake, SK on September 21st, 2023, at the age of 45 years. Nicholas was born on February 4th, 1978, in Edmonton, AB to Leonard & Karen Houle. Nicholas will be lovingly remembered by his children Savanna (Alex), Tanisha (Greg), & Koby; his children’s mother Rolanda Howse; his granddaughter Summer-Lee; his mother Karen Houle; his siblings Steven, Rebecca (Michael), & Natasha (Ray); his grandmother Dorothy Constant; as well as numerous family and friends. Nicholas was predeceased by his father Leonard Houle; his grandpa Roy Kingfisher; his grandparents William & Hannah (nee Charles) Kingfisher; his cousins Adrian Sinclair, Diana Kingfisher, & Chad Kingfisher; as well as numerous family and friends. A Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, at 5 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at 11 AM at Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Bishop Adam Halkett. The Eulogy will be read by Rebecca Tootoosis. The Drum Group will be Iron Swing. The Honourary Pallbearers are all those who knew and loved Nicholas. The Pallbearers are Michael Tootoosis, Eric Halkett, Ray Morning Owl, Garrett Steinhauer, Michael Steinhauer, & Stephen Kingfisher.
