Bird-Kingfisher, Nellie, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK passed away in Prince Albert, SK on June 16, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Nellie will be lovingly remembered by her loving children: Judy Kingfisher of Sturgeon Lake, Glen Kingfisher of Sturgeon Lake, Barry (Sharon) Kingfisher of Sturgeon Lake, Sandra Kingfisher of Sturgeon Lake, Darlene (Marcel) Kingfisher of Little Red, Sonya (Larry) Daniels of Sturgeon Lake, Wanita (Gerald) Bear of Big River, Dion (Oona) Kingfisher of Montreal Lake; her brothers: Eric Bird and Melisip Joseph; her sisters: Rema Rabbit and Katherine Longjohn; her step-brothers and sister: Norbert (Clara) Duquette, William (Veronica) Duquette, Roland (Sherry) Duquette and Rose (Mike) Daniels; her adopted children: Barbara Bowditch of Prince Albert, Mike Pearson of Halifax, NS, Martin and Joan McNicholas of Scotland; her special daughters-in-law: Sandy Harper and Delphine Naytowhow; Head Family of Mistawasis; Ballantyne Family of Sturgeon Lake; Bird Family of Sturgeon Lake; her sister-in-law: Yvonne Seeseequasis and Carol Sanderson; her brothers-in-law: Roy Kingfisher (Annie) and Barclay Head of Mistawasis ; her special nieces: Leona Anderson and Iona Starr; her Champion Dancers: Caydence & Kyle Bear of Crutwell, SK; as well as numerous relatives, nieces, nephews, 30 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Nellie was predeceased by her parents: Edward Bird and Florence Duquette; her grandparents: Henry and Mary Twobear; her son: Earl Kingfisher; her special partner in life: Thomas Semaganis; the father of her children: Harold Kingfisher; her sisters: Melvina Ballantyne, Alma Head, Georgeline Head, and Sylvia Bird; her brother: Paul Bird; her grandchildren: Candace Ermine, Amos Daniels, Baby Harold-Narcisse; and her great-grandchildren: Elias Ledeoux, Gared Parenteau, Quetis Ermine. A Wake will be commencing Tuesday, June 18, 2013 – 5:00 pm at the Sturgeon Lake Community Centre, Sturgeon Lake, SK.
