We, the family of Natasha Gloria Head, are shattered to share the news of her sudden passing on June 27, 2024.
She came into our lives as a perfect blue-eyed beauty with an abundance of blond hair on August 25, 1983. Our lives were never the same – she left a lasting impression wherever she went. Her determination, strong will, and sheer grit got her through her tough times, but her quick wit, beautiful smile and love of family will ever be remembered by those who had the fortune to know her. Her strong work ethic, intelligence, and capacity to understand will be remembered by her colleagues.
Natasha graduated Summa cum laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Master’s degree in forensic psychology in 2009. She worked with the Gov’t of Saskatchewan as a Clinical Director in the Ministry of Corrections, Policing & Public Safety until March 2024. During her tenure there, among other awards she received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal, the Premier’s Appreciation Award, and a Deputy Minister’s Award for Excellence & Innovation. She switched up her career in March 2024 and began a position as Project Manager with OnX, and while her tenure there was cut short by her untimely passing, she still managed to impress.
She is predeceased by her Nan and Pop Anstey, Nan Head, and Uncle Lloyd. Leaving to cherish her beautiful memories and awaiting a reunion in heaven are her parents, Byron and Gloria, her brother Matthew, sister-in-law Erin, ultra special nephew and niece Alexander and Kathryn, Pop Head, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Natasha’s life will be held in her beloved home province of Newfoundland and Labrador, please check back later for date and time.
To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The North East Avalon Food Bank, the Boys & Girls Club of St. John’s https://www.bgcnl.com/stjohns/get-involved/donate/#form , or to a charity of one’s choice.
A light extinguished far too soon and will ever be cherished!
